Have you ever met a pangolin? This gentle, shy animal is covered from head to tail in overlapping scales, like a living pinecone or a tiny suit of armor. Baby pangolins, sometimes called "pangopups", are born with soft scales that harden after a few days, and they love to ride on their mother's tail while she walks. Our 16 free baby pangolin coloring pages show these sweet animals walking, climbing, standing tall and curling up into a perfect ball.
Pangolins live in parts of Africa and Asia and eat ants and termites, which they catch with a very long, sticky tongue. When they feel scared, they roll into a tight ball to stay safe. Sadly, pangolins are one of the most threatened animals in the world, so coloring them is a lovely way to teach children about wildlife and why protecting it matters.
